We are a group of reenactors of the period of history known as the American Civil War, War Between The States, War Of Rebellion, War Of Northern Aggression, The Past Unpleasantness, and various other names. Regardless by which name you know it, this is one of the most fascinating periods in our Nation's History. Our unit is dedicated to presenting as authentic a picture of that period as modern times will permit. We are made up of a wide range of ages, from 12 years old to 58 years young! We all enjoy the various aspects of the hobby, camping, period music, and a love of history.

When the unit is not in the field, the piece may be found at Dixie Hollins High School Army JROTC. The Honor Guard Cadets train on the piece in all facets from operation of the gun to safety in its use. They will fire the piece at the home games during football season, on Veteran's Day, and any other commitments that may present themselves.

One year we were honored to appear at the Military Order of World Wars (MOWW) when they had their Massing of the Colors. Some of the cadets have gone on to become members of the Reenacting Unit and some have gone on from there to enlist in the military services and are now serving our country in various locations around the world including Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Japan and Korea.
